Urban Art Bike Adult Class

Summer SMAC Camp Classes

What do a swing, a flying donut launcher, and a killer whale that poops bubbles all have in common? They're art bikes, of course! Under the guidance of our Professional artist and art bike contraptionist, Natali Leduc, you will work in a team of four to create a fully functional sculpture bike of your team's own design! Have fun while you learn: welding, design, engineering concepts, and creative thinking in this exciting, collaborative environment.

The 2017 Summer Urban Art Bike Workshop Camp Schedule:

  • Class 1 // July 10 - July 14, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm with an hour break for lunch.

  • Each team will complete a working bicycle contraption of their own design.
  • Students will learn how to design and assemble an art bicycle.
  • If time allows, students will embellish their bikes further with paint and ornaments.
  • After the workshops, the students’ art bikes will participate in various public events and be on display throughout the city of Chattanooga.
