Imagine how cool it would be to build your own desktop computer for less than the cost of buying a similar one off the shelf! This hands-on course will teach students how to build their own working computer, set up Windows 10, and other basic computer functionality. Peripherals (keyboard, mouse, monitor) and upgraded options are available. (Additional charges apply).

With the purchase of this class, the student will be able to bring their finished computer home. However, Art 120 is not responsible for the condition or technical support of the computer after the completion of the course. The student is welcome to bring in the computer for assistance during regular business hours (10am-5pm, Tues. - Fri.) but there is no guarantee that Art 120 can assist with all issues.

  • Each student will learn the functionality of basic computer parts.
  • Students will learn how to build a computer from parts & basic safety precautions when building a computer
  • Students will learn to set up Windows 10 and install essential software
